As noted on the InfoComm website, and other communications issued by the organisation over the past several months, InfoComm international is changing the exam format for CTS testing.
Despite a registration email that people may have received stating that they have until December 1st or beyond to complete the online exam, the actual deadline is 30th November at 11:59pm US Eastern Time. After that time, the current online CTS exam will no longer be active to candidates, regardless of attempts left to take the exam or payments. On December 1, 2007 the new CTS examination process will be implemented. Infomation regarding registration for the new exam may be found on the InfoComm website.
There will be no exceptions or extensions to the date; therefore please be sure to utilize your test or retest attempts between now at the November 30th.
The new "task-based" CTS test will be conducted at Prometric test centres in most major cities and countries. It will comprise 100 questions, based on the InfoComm foundation courses, AZ Sales or Essentials of the AV Industry and general AV work experience. Proof of identity will be required and the test will be approved by ANSI/ISO giving the CTS qualification International status. To find your nearest test centre visit www.prometric.com.
