Byron Tarry, former CEO of the GPA, has announced the launch of NEXXT: an industry driven 'social enterprise' aimed at enabling business transformation opportunities that exist in AI.
Developed through months of co-creation with over 20 progressive peer leaders, NEXXT responds to a growing challenge felt across the industry: how to navigate the vast, often overwhelming possibilities AI is creating.
“We keep hearing the same thing: ‘I know I need to act on AI - but I’m not sure how, or even where to start,’” said Byron Tarry, founder and chief transformation officer of NEXXT. “So, we can’t just be another AI “cheerleading” voice - AI is just a tool! Rather we must anchor ourselves as a business transformation enablement organisation in an AI age. Do so, and we hope we can become the industry’s “place to go” for help in navigating the complex but exciting journeys and opportunities ahead.
Brad Hintze, EVP, global marketing at Crestron and Brad Hintze, EVP, global marketing at Crestron and member of the initial Thinktank that inspired the formation of NEXXT, remarked: “There’s a huge appetite for 'think different' leadership and learning right now, but the pressure to ‘pursue AI opportunity’ is creating more confusion than clarity. I am proud to have been a part of what NEXXT is building - especially its community activation and enablement goals. Creating a trusted space to learn, lead, and build what’s NΞXXT is exactly what our industry needs to not only survive but thrive in this moment.”
NEXXT will make its public debut at InfoComm 2025 with an invitation for the industry to engage - to learn more about the NEXXT mission, and to help shape and validate the pathways needed to help take a growing NEXXT community from curiosity to action.
In the months to follow, NEXXT will be focused on the launch and growth of several initiatives:
- Expanding its bench of AI-Inspired independent business strategy advisory experts uniting under a collective NEXXT // Consulting practice
- Publishing a podcast in late June
- Launching an AI-powered digital community platform in June, for structured and unstructured learning, tools, storytelling, and peer engagement
- And in September the release of the first of a growing suite of digital “on demand” learning content - starting with AI 101 and AI for AV Essentials courses.
