AV Global Alliance founder members AVM and AVI-SPL have announced they will be jointly delivering video managed services to clients.
Driving this decision is increased demand for managed services to support applications such as telepresence and video conferencing, as well as IPTV. The two companies intend to pool their infrastructure in the US and Europe to deliver seamless managed video services to joint customers.
They will use centres in New Jersey, California, Pennsylvania and London, as well as video bridging infrastructure deployed at more than eight other points around the world.
“We are seeing more opportunities with large deployments of video spread across multiple countries,” remarks Sandy MacPherson, Chairman, AVM. “Our customers want the benefit of getting services from the best providers in each region, while working with one vendor to make it happen. We believe this expansion of our AV Global Alliance represents a unique capability customers have been waiting for.”
