The Magna Lecture Theatre in the Roma Tre University, Rome, is a modern, elegantly-styled venue. Located in the faculty of Literature and Philosophy, it hosts important lectures and conferences. The only problem it has was sound coverage.
The solution was to completely change the sound system, for an innovative solution based on Bosch’s hemi-directional loudspeakers. The devices consist of 14 specially positioned drivers in each chassis, combined with advanced DSP filtering. This provides a large opening angle for the whole frequency range.
The new installation resolved the many coverage problems that plagued the previous system, installed by traditional methods. The new system was installed by S.E.A snc Sistemi Elettrici Avanzati Roma.
The Roma Tre University, with 870 lecturers and 40,000 students, offers a wide range of faculties such as architecture, economics, law, engineering, humanities, education sciences, mathematics and political sciences. Now its lecture theatre has a sound system in which lecturers can be clearly heard in every part of the room.
