Euro 2012 gets safety boost with Dynacord PA/VA

Dynacord has provided a public address/voice alarm systems for the new Józef Pilsudski Stadium in Cracow. The stadium will host European Championship football matches in 2012.

The Józef Pilsudski Stadium in Cracow is the home of KS Cracovia. It was originally built in 1906 and has been comprehensively renovated and partially reconstructed. Work on the project, for which Spanish firm of architects Estudio Lamela was engaged, began in 2009 and was completed at the end of 2010.

The arena is now designed to handle sports events, concerts, shows and other major gatherings.

To address safety the stadium opted for the installation of a Dynacord audio system in which all the components are networked: "The signal transfer is handled by Cobra Net and the remote supervision by IRIS-Net," explains Marcin Zimny, manager of the Breslau branch of Tommex Zebrowscy. "With this setup, we can supervise and control the entire system – from the input to the loudspeakers. This comprehensive system control gives us a great sense of security."
