BrightSign has started shipping its solid-state digital sign controllers with built-in Wi-Fi and management software.
The network-enabled players are being demonstrated at DSE. The HD210w and HD1010w are ready-to-use signage solutions that include hardware, Wi-Fi support and software for creating, updating and managing displays. The players can be connected to a wireless network without having to install cabling or an adaptor.
Both controllers deliver looping playback of HD video at 1080p resolutions, images and audio. Both models also have an Ethernet port, which allows users to synchronize multiple screens for video wall applications without requiring an internet connection. The HD1010w adds advanced interactivity with support for buttons, touch screens, LEDs, motion sensors and GPIO or USB devices.
Optional accessories are also available for adding extra A/V and control ports to the HD1010w.
With built-in Wi-Fi and the BrightAuthor software, which is included free of charge with all BrightSign players, users can access their controllers from anywhere through the Internet.
The controllers are small enough to be discreetly mounted on the back of a display screen.
