Foresight Audio Visual has acquired UK based Hocken AV, citing the 80-year-old company’s strong client base as a driver for the purchase.
Hocken started as photographic chemist H Hocken in 1928 and began to focus on the audiovisual industry in the 1960s.
Anwar Osman, managing director of Foresight, said: "The purchase is a perfect fit for Foresight which, since its formation three years ago, has been building its in house engineering operation. This expertise, combined with Hocken's longstanding and loyal client base, maximises the strengths of both companies. Foresight ensures the highest of standards in engineering and service by providing all facilities in house, including project management, Installation, CAD, programming and service contracts, and we look forward to bringing these benefits to Hocken customers. We are also very pleased to retain the services of Richard Haines and Martin Smith who were both directors of Hocken Audio Visual."
Foresight is a design, installation and maintenance company majority owned by its management and backed by audio visual investment firm Phenomenon Group which also owns Gordon Audio Visual and Gray Audio Visual.
