Bose goes Al Fresco in London

UK – When the owners of London’s Regent Street, The Crown Estate, decided to open a pedestrianised food quarter in adjoining Heddon Street, a background music system was high on the list of requirements.

The solution arrived at was a Bose ambient music system installed by Bose @ Horsham’s professional installation team under the leadership of David Foster.
Foster worked closely with the Crown Estate’s architects Allen Bell to ensure Westminster City Council’s stringent planning guidelines were met. It was also important that sound didn’t bleed into offices located above the shops and restaurants.
The final solution consisted of Bose Freespace DS100E speakers, an ESP-88 processor with a CC-16 wall plate for volume and source control. This was enclosed in an environmental, lockable box with inputs for a microphone, MP3 player or mixing desk.
