Shure has unveiled its ANX4 scalable wireless receiver, the first wireless receiver featuring channel scalability and up to 16 channels of Axient Digital or 24 channels of ULX-D via channel licenses.
ANX4 hardware will be available in autumn 2025 through authorised dealers, with channel licenes available through authorised dealers or via Shure directly. The ANX4 can be operated in either Axient Digital or ULX-D mode, supporting available transmitter options in those platforms. The receiver ships without preconfigured wireless channels and can be activated to support any channel count up to its maximum capacity using ShureCloud. The design allows users to buy channel licenses in the needed quantity and provision them across multiple ANX4 hardware units.
The ANX4 is available in AC and DC powered versions, including a wide tuning range of 174 MHz to 2 GHz and two pairs of antenna inputs that can each be tuned up to 72 MHz wide. Four Ethernet and four coaxial antenna inputs are included for streamlined configuration, without a need for additional antenna distribution gear, as well as a 6.6-in front panel colour display for support of all ULX-D and Axient Digital frequency bands, Dante/AES67 outputs, and a ¼-in front-panel headphone connector for monitoring.
Additionally, the ANX4 supports network control with Shure Wireless Workbench for remote RF monitoring and management.
Shure has announced channel expansion and a new transmission mode for Axient Digital PSM, offering channel expansion capability and Axient digital standard transmission mode for Axient Digital PSM as a firmware update through ShureCloud or the Shure update utility.
Channel scalability is also available, adding up to 12 stereo audio channels for the ADTQ quad transmitter and six for the ADTD dual transmitter, totalling 16 or eight stereo channels, respectively.
Axient digital standard transmission mode offers ADTQ and ADTD transmitters to send wireless audio to various Axient Digital microphone receivers, extending high-power, audio transmission capabilities.
Purchased channel licenses for ANX4 or Axient Digital PSM can be activated by the owner and later reallocated to other hardware units of the same type through ShureCloud, allowing users to move wireless channels without moving hardware.
