Roland has unveiled its V-600UHD 4K video switcher.
The V-600UHD multi-format video switcher offers 4K image quality, with saling and format conversion provided on each of the V-600UHD’s inputs, allowing for simultaneous full HD and ‘high pixel density’ 4K sources as well as simultaneous output of 4K and 1080p resolutions.
The V-600UHD uses high dynamic range (HDR) technology, with 60Hz frame rate support and a 30Hz refresh rate.
The video switcher supports BT.2020 specification wide colour gamut (WCG) as well as RGB and BT.709 standards,.
Internal 10bit colour depth processing is also featured, with all 4K content being 2160 pixels in height, DCI or ‘Cinema 4K’ in 4096 pixels wide.
The V-600UHD has four HDMI 2.0 and two 12G-SDI inputs, with each input independently supporting input and scaling of full HD, UHD 4K, DCI 4K and PC resolutions from UXGA to DCI 4K with no external converters.
The configurable multi-view monitor allows users to view all sources, program and preview on a single HD screen.
Outputs support downscaling to full HD for feeding streaming encoders or other destinations with HD displays, allowing users to connect the output directly to an LED display controller with the required pixel dimensions.
The V-600UHD also supports two ‘picture in picture’ (PnP) windows, with customisable aspect ratios, sizing and input source scaling.
The V-600 also features high quality 24bit 48kHz audio processing, allowing audio to be de-embedded from a source and sent to an external sound mixer.
Program audio from the same audio mixer can also be embedded to one or all video outputs to feed with program video to a steaming encoder, a recorder or an overflow room.
