Mitsubishi unveils 2 projectors at ISE

Mitsubishi Electric will unveil a mid-range business projector and a professional installation projector at ISE 2013.

The WUXGA UD740U joins the 1080p FD730U model as portable, network-capable projector for business or education applications.

It delivers 4100 lumens, the 1920 x 1200 pixel UD740U offers the same 3000:1 contrast ratio as the FD730U, but is compatible with AMX Device Discovery and Crestron Roomview.

The UD740U offers up to 5000 hour lamp life and a built-in 10W speaker and audio mixer can add voice-overs and soundtracks to presentations. Lens-shift adjustment is designed to ease set up in new locations.

Mitsubishi will also reveal an update to its 8000 Series range of professional installation projectors.

The new WXGA WD8700-U replaces the existing WD8200 model, offering the same high specification, but with a 14% increase in light output taking it to 7,500 lumens.

The 8000 series range boasts Mitsubishi’s Natural Colour Matrix (NCM), allowing intermediate colours – yellow, cyan and magenta – to be controlled independently of red, green and blue.

It also has built-in edge blending technology and advanced colour-matching. It has quiet operation of less than 28dBA and consumes less than 0.3W in standby mode.

A dual-lamp system ensures continuous operation, with an expected lamp life of up to 4000 hours. An automatic self-cleaning air filter uses technology borrowed from Mitsubishi’s air-conditioning division.
