Coda Audio launches Space immersive audio software

Coda Audio has launched its downloadable Space immersive audio software, alongside Space Hub software updates.

The free to use software forms an update for Coda Audio’s Space Hub immersive sound processor, bringing additional functionality and new features.

The processor is a 19-in/3U immersive processor that allows users to build audio experiences in 3D space.

The downloadable version of Space Hub software will allow sound designers to plan and preview immersive audio environments in pre-production facilities, offering applications for educational and training purposes.

When installed on a user’s computer, Space Hub Producer offers 128 input channels which can be sourced live from the user’s interfaces of choice, or from internal computer playback.

As an object based platform, each input or group of inputs becomes an audio ‘object’, which can be placed anywhere in the three-dimensional audio space and can be fixed or moving.

Snapshots, routines, and movement can all be live or triggered by Midi or OSC and can be used in combination with performer tracking systems. A comprehensive reverb engine and downmix facility are also included with the software.

Output is restricted to 16 channels, however Coda Audio’s Space Hub processor provides a full system with up to 128x128 channels.

New additions to the platform include 3D view, new tracker integration, presets for zactrack, Stagetracker, PSN and RTTrPM, improved OSC command library, and new additional panning algorithms.
