ATEN International has announced the release of its first HDMI HDBaseT-Lite matrix switches. The VM3404H and VM3909H combine HDBaseT technology with mirrored HDMI outputs to extend uncompressed video, audio, power and control through a single LAN cable up to 70 metres.
The 4 x 4 and 9 x 9 switches support videowall, Seamless Switch and Power over HDBaseT (POH) functions when used in combination with an ATEN receiver and can be used in digital signage, control rooms, and commercial and conference centres.
“The VM3404H and VM3909H can deliver video content over large distances and be displayed using various screen layouts” commented Kevin Chen, president of ATEN International. When a mirrored HDMI output is connected to a display, it can be used to verify the corresponding HDBaseT output or as another video display.
The range can be controlled using methods including front-panel pushbuttons, IR channel ports, RS-232 and Ethernet connections. Bi-directional IR channel ports support control of AV sources locally or remotely at the display.
