ZetaDisplay has signed a framework agreement with Ruter to modernise digital signage across Oslo’s public transport network, with the aim of delivering a digital signage upgrade across the region’s transit network.
ZetaDisplay won the contract following a competitive tender process, with the goal of providing a full turnkey system through an initial five-year plan to modernise real-time passenger information displays at 370 key locations throughout Oslo.
ZetDisplay’s system will see the Oslo transport network’s antiquated displays replaced with 37-in and 42-in stretch screens from Teleste, transitioning to ZetaDisplay’s proprietary Engage Suite CMS.
Ola Sæverås, chief business officer, ZetaDisplay, commented: “Beyond delivering enhanced information to passengers, we have future-proofed this next-generation digital signage solution to become a platform for new revenue opportunities by enabling a comprehensive Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) advertising platform. The Engage Suite CMS platform will support programmatic advertising, allowing dynamic, data-driven ad placements for advertisers looking to reach Ruter’s high-footfall locations.
“We are excited to partner with Ruter to deliver a smarter, more connected public transport experience for Oslo. This project exemplifies how cutting-edge digital signage can elevate passenger communication, increase accessibility and create a future-proofed, sustainable public transport infrastructure.”
