TOA has taken the decision to remove sales of the Trantec wireless microphone brand from BBM, and hand over UK and European sales to TOA (UK).
TOA acquired BBM Electronics in 1998. The reasons behind the decision have not been elaborated on, and no official word has been received from BBM Electronics. However, in a letter to employees it is made clear that that TOA Corporation will take official responsibility on 1st June 2010.
Update: Since we first posted this story, TOA has released an announcement on the issue with comment from TOA Europe sales & marketing director Brett Downing: “We're building on the existing success that the range has already had in the market and managing it under one umbrella. Customers will be very pleased to know that they will continue to receive outstanding support and advice on the range of Trantec wireless products.”
