Three pro AV product manufacturers - 7thSense Design, Adder and Ampetronic – have won the prestigious Queen’s Award in the UK as two of the companies mark significant milestones in their histories.
AV creative house 7thSense Design – specialists in media serving for state-of-the-art digital display experiences - has been given the Queen's Award for Enterprise Innovation 10 years after being founded.
The UK-based 7thSense team behind the Delta Media Server will be presented with the award by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County in the coming weeks. Recognising the best of British, the Queen’s Award is one of the highest accolades for UK businesses.
Ian Macpherson, co-founder and MD of 7thSense, said: "We are honoured to have been recognised with a Queen’s Award. In our decade-long journey as a team we have achieved so much: building a reputation for quality, performance, export success, innovation and service and securing business with prestigious technology and integration partners - not to mention the size and scale of some of our end users."
Adder Technology, the keyboard, video and mouse (KVM) specialist, is marking three decades in the industry this year. It is being presented with the Queens award for Innovation following recognition of the technical achievement of the AdderLink Infinity range; a hardware-based digital KVM matrix used for controlling and distributing digital video signals.
Adrian Dickens, founder and CEO of Adder Technologies said: "It is a great honour to receive such a sought-after award, and particularly during our anniversary year. The purpose of the award is to recognise and encourage commercial success resulting from outstanding innovative achievements by all businesses in the UK and that’s what we have always strived to do since we launched thirty years ago."
Ampetronic's award is for International Trade, in recognition of achieving sustained high export growth in the company’s sector of hearing assistance.
Ampetronic MD Julian Pieters said "This is recognition for the many years spent working with hard of hearing organisations, standards bodies, legislators, and providing awareness and education to everyone involved in hearing accessibility. "Tackling a global market as a small business is a challenging task; however we are proud to be leading our sector around the world as a small British manufacturer, recognised globally for delivering excellence in hearing assistance."
