Telecom giant employs PeopleLink for videoconferencing at Digital India Week
Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi launched Digital India Week 2015 at the Indira Gandhi Indoor stadium. As part of the event PeopleLink’s software videoconferencing platform was used to connect BSNL Offices with the 31 different districts which were connected over National Informatics Centre (NIC).

The multi-location connectivity was streamed live across the globe showcasing the combination of video collaboration and streaming offered by PeopleLink’s managed video services. PeopleLink took the video enablement further ahead by helping the launch of BSNL Buzz and Speed Pay, which are cellular services offered by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), the largest state owned telecommunications company in India.

Managing the project was not easy. The main challenge faced was time, with the deployments needing to happen at short notice. Executing a multi-location connectivity with necessary hardware peripherals like HD professional PTZ cameras and echo cancellation devices for ensuring the experience remains the best was also a challenge. PeopleLink with its major partner network was able to execute the project within the time allotted.
