Kling & Freitag has joined forces with artist Wolfgang Stehle to develop eye-catching Sona 5 speakers that creatively visualise the function of the speaker. The unique models will be auctioned at Prolight + Sound to benefit victims of the Haiti earthquake.
The unique models were launched at Integrated Systems Europe and the company says the aim is to show that speakers do not only have an acoustical function but an aesthetic one as well.
Kling + Freitag were introduced to Stehle, who lives and works in Munich, by German system parnter MDS PAtec Veranstaltungstechnik. Stehle, born in 1965, has accrued various scholarships and awards throughout his career. He started as a wood sculpture apprentice before embarking on six years of study at the Acadamy of Arts in Munich.
The artworks will be exhibited from March, 24 to 27,2010, at the Prolight + Sound exhibition in Frankfurt. They will be sold by auction for the benefit of the earthquake victims of Haiti. Bids can be registered until Friday March 26 at the Kling & Freitag booth: F 40 in hall 8.0.
