NanoLumens has appointed Mark Carslon as general counsel and vice president of strategic initiatives.
Carlson joined the display manufacturer from a role as the corporate/M&A group chair at law firm Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz and will report directly to Rick Cope, CEO of NanoLumens.
Cope said: “The role of General Counsel has changed dramatically over the last ten years and, increasingly, a company’s General Counsel is being called upon to play a more important role in shaping how businesses operate, managing different kinds of risk, and guiding corporate conduct overall.
“Mark has both the legal and general business background we need at this critical juncture in our growth trajectory. He brings both the legal and strategic business acumen to our senior management team that will help us to achieve our long-term growth objectives.â€
