The Porsche Museum boasts ‘holographic’ storytelling by combining LED technology from Leyard Europe, using specially manufactured mirror discs and 3D content.

The experience was designed by design agency, Liganova Horizon, using the technology to bring an Egger-Lohner C.2 Phaeton, the oldest surviving vehicle designed by Porsche founder, Ferdinand Porsche.

Leyard’s Carbonlight CL03.9 LED panels were used for the car’s background, bringing much-needed brightness. Leyard’s CLI-Flex 2.6 modules were also used to create a ring between the mirrors, with a custom substructure made by Leyard to create a stepless circle for the image display.

The LED floor beneath the exhibit is powered by CarbonLight CLF5.2 displays, creating a sturdy structure to withstand loads of up to 500kg per display.

The interior of the circle houses the Egger-Lohner C.2 Phaeton, supported by audio components to complete the experience.
