Holovis unveils new demo and R&D facilities
Holovis has launched a state-of-the-art demo facility at its HQ in Lutterworth, UK where immersive and interactive experience solutions can be put through their paces.

The facility is the only place where projection dome theatres, a VR 3D CAVE set up, multiple 3D and 4D theatres and an interactive dark ride test cell can be seen side by side, all driven by Holovis' software solutions.

Holovis has created a series of areas featuring transformative sensory experiences which include three dome theatres, a fived sided CAVE set up and a dark ride test cell.

Stuart Hetherington, CEO of Holovis explained: "We wanted to create a place where people can test and experience the different solutions, running their own content as well as watching the show reels and immersive experiences our in-house software and gaming team have created.
"The space is also being used by our strategic partners and clients who are bringing their whole project teams to spend the day here, testing and remodelling content including CGI and real time media on replica models while their actual solution is being built."

The three domes on display are an 11 metre fully hemispherical dome, a 10 metre flying dome, a mini personal dome and the company's newest solution MotionDome. All domes can be utilised by brand and event agencies to create a touring experience which fully immerses an audience with a seamless 360° projection.

The newest interactive technologies can be found within the CAVE, demonstrated as a four or five surface immersive structure. Powered by In-Mo (Information in Motion) a suite of applications have been developed by Holovis to allow real time, game engine technology to run on complex surfaces and domes, all controlled by the company's priority software aimed at the design, manufacturing, entertainment, theme park, museum and leisure industries.
