DIS Middle East has joined the Middle East Communications Industries Association (MECIA), strengthening the company’s presence in the region.
The Scandinavian conference and interpretation specialist said the not-for-profit trade association was established to promote the global competitiveness of the broadcast and professional AV industry across the Middle East.
DIS Middle East’s Jan Villumsen, regional sales manager and Chris Helmuth, area sales manager, secured the membership during CABSAT 2010.
In a joint statement they said: “We’re very proud to be part of the MECIA network now. Although we’re already member of InfoComm association, we’ve seen how important it is to be present and visible at the locally organised MECIA events. Everything is about networking nowadays, and especially in Middle East & Africa”
