DB launches Pixel House
DB Systems has launched a new division, DB Pixel House, to provide its customers with video content services.

The audiovisual rental company says its new venture will provide 2D and 3D graphics, animation and interactive content, particularly for use with custom shaped and sized video walls, as well as touch screens.

Currently, DB provides bespoke audiovisual and IT solutions for the events and exhibition industry. It says DB Pixel House, can now provide stand designers and event organisers with bespoke video content when they hire screens and other equipment, rather than having to go to a different supplier.

Alastair Reece, who heads up DB Pixel House, said: “DB Systems has considerable expertise providing AV and IT hardware for the event and exhibition industry. Since we understand the hardware, we are able to use this experience and expertise when tailoring bespoke video content for the customers.

“For example, we have the capability of supplying and installing large HD plasma screen walls. With DB Pixel House we can also provide the content that will run across these walls, and also the ability to creatively compliment or synchronise this content with lighting, audio and other elements.

“We work with designers from the very early stages of a project, which means we can also blend our creative content with static graphics or the architectural lines of an exhibition stand. This aesthetic marriage between physical structure and content makes perfect design sense and allows for some striking results.

“Previously, we’ve found that customers didn’t always know where to go in order to get the video content to fit a custom shaped display. Now, DB Systems can offer customers a one stop shop service, where they have the convenience of hiring the hardware and video content all at the same time.”
