Cabletime, developer of the MediaStar range of IPTV distribution products, has launched a new Training Academy delivering a variety of group and one-to-one courses. Cabletime's training focuses on the installation and configuration of the powerful IP-based MediaStar Evolution range of products.
With effect from November 1, the course for integrators will run on a monthly basis at Cabletime’s UK headquarters in Newbury, Berkshire. Group training for systems integrators and engineers will allow for up to five delegates per session, either from the same company, or from a pre-agreed mixed group, whilst one-to-one training at Cabletime, or on-premise, will be available for consultants and customers upon request.
“We are responding to an increase in demand from integrators looking for training for their installation teams and refresher courses to support the introduction of new upgrades and products,†said Mike Cuckow, Sales Director, EMEA Asia Pacific. “Many of our integration partners provide system maintenance and support services to their customers, so it is important for them to keep up to speed on all technical upgrades.â€
Within the Academy support is also now available for system designers and courses can be delivered to sales teams who are interested in the features and benefits of the MediaStar solutions. Cabletime will prepare bespoke courses for individual customers and consultants on demand.
Cabletime Academy training is designed to be hands-on and explore all aspects of the MediaStar Evolution system from installation through to management. The products covered include DVB LAN-Casters, HD/SD Encoders, Digital Media Decoders, and the Evolution digital content management and scheduling software, Media Manager. Delegates will gain a good understanding of the capabilities of the system, the IP network infrastructure requirements to deploy the system effectively and how to configure and customise the system to suit the requirements of different organisations. Additional guidance will be provided on managing and scheduling digital content and upgrading MediaStar devices.
The MediaStar range provides TV/AV and multimedia distribution products primarily for medium to large enterprises, which require future-proof, stable and proven solutions for live TV, corporate communications, multicasts, music TV, training and digital signage.
