British Airways has announced that it is introducing a trial run of its virtual reality entertainment system on select flights from London Heathrow to New York JFK.
First class passengers on these select BA117 flights will be able to use a VR headset to watch movies, documentaries and travel shows in 2D, 3D or 360 degrees formats.
The AlloSky headsets, developed by VR eyewear developer SkyLights, will be available on flights until the end of 2019, with the VR trial making part of a £6.5 billion investment program, including the installation of Wi-Fi and power in every aircraft seat across its fleet.
