Several AV companies have earned places on The Sunday Times' Tech Track 100 league table, tracking the fastest growing private technology companies in the UK.
The Tech Track 100 covers the fastest growing private technology companies in the UK, ranking them based on annual sales rises over a three year period, latest sales and staff quantity.
Virtual reality technology developer, Igloo Vision, clocked in at 98 on the list with an annual sales rise of 49.02%, receiving recognition for making university lectures more interactive through virtual reality.
Colin Yellowley, founder and managing director, Igloo Vision commented: “We’re thrilled to be endorsed by the Tech Track 100. I co-founded Igloo Vision over ten years ago in rural Shropshire. Now, we have offices across the UK, the USA, Canada and Australia.”
“This success has come thanks to the experience we’ve accumulated over several hundred installations. We’ve helped many of the biggest brands worldwide bring their ideas to life inside Igloo immersive technology. We look forward to bringing immersive tech easily into the hands of many more clients.”
Starleaf found itself ranked at 85 with an annual sales rise of 53.58%, being noted for providing its video conferencing software to more than 50 UK National Health Service trusts.
Mark Richer, CEO, Starleaf said: "We’re thrilled to have made the Tech Track 100, for the fourth year running. Since starting the business in 2008, we’ve worked hard to give organisations video solutions built specifically for businesses, with enhanced security, reliability and usability.
"This has helped us to provide a solution of the highest quality and to become one of the fastest growing private tech companies in the UK."
Brompton ranked at 83, citing a growth of 54.09% and providing LED screens as an alternative backdrop for film crews limited by social distancing restrictions.
Richard Mead, managing director, Brompton said: Awards like the Tech Track 100 and the Queen’s Award for Enterprise are great morale boosts for the entire team, and are especially welcome this year.Although the league table might not very well-known to customers within our industry, it brings wider recognition of our work in the wider UK business community, which is in turn helpful when it comes to interactions with suppliers, landlord and banks, as well as in many other aspects of running a fast-growing business.
Brompton has carefully and deliberately built a rock-solid reputation for delivering quality products and providing exceptional technical support. The fruits of this labour are proven in the glowing testimonials we receive and the repeat business from customers who know we offer something different and valuable that they might not get elsewhere.
"That success comes down to the people we have within the business: both our very talented and diligent engineering team who develop our products, and our sales and support team, who are all very strong technically, dedicated to providing a superior customer experience, and have years of knowledge from working in the events and broadcast industries."
Disguise ranked at 80 with a growth rate of 55.51%, waiving subscription fees on its software offering.
Fernando Kufer, CEO, disguise, commented: “As technology continues to transform every aspect of how we live and work, visionary and ambitious companies will continue to be at the forefront of innovation.
“As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic bringing all live events to a standstill, disguise has accelerated the development of xR and engaged with customers to transition them, at a deep level, to the new xR arena with free education to create new opportunities for them to meet market needs.”
UC provider Telcoswitch came in at rank 25, boasting a growth rate of 109.77%, with the company’s mobile and desktop apps helping staff at small and medium sized companies communicate while working remotely.
Russel Lux, founder and CEO, Telcoswitch, commented: “This is a very special moment for everyone at TelcoSwitch. We know how strong our platform and our offering to the market is, both commercially and in terms of how we support our customers and partners. But to be recognised in such a prestigious list is a key milestone on our journey.
“In a market where there are a number of very big players, the fact that we’re here, thriving in such uncertain times, shows we have something that customers and partners really value.”
