Voice-Acoustics bolsters Vadas amplifier platform with new model

Voice-Acoustic expanded its Vadas amplifier platform with the new Vadas-8K4D, a four-channel class D amplifier with 4x 2,000W at 4 ohms.

The amplifier offers four physical analogue and four digital AES3 XLR input and output channels as well as Dante as standard.

The interface has been designed to be simple and intuitive and includes an integrated 4.3-in capacitive touch display with encoder wheel for an overview of important functions and parameters. The Vadas-8K4D can also be fully integrated into ArmoníaPlus remote control software from Powersoft.

The wide-range switching power supply with Power Factor Correction (PFC) has a high degree of efficiency and thus lower power consumption than conventional amplifiers.

An update of the Vadas preset library with linear-phase FIR filters for the integrated high-end DSP with high dynamic range and extensive functions will be available in Q4 2024. The new presets also allow an overlap mode between bass and mid/high frequencies. All subwoofers can now also be combined with each other. The update also includes cardioid subwoofer presets (Gradient and Endfire) for all five Voice-Acoustic Paveosub models.

The Vadas amplifier series is completed with the new CP4IN and CP4OUT connection panels with optional Ethernet switch and the BAGAX stack rack solutions for standardising the touring racks with an eye on future large-scale sound reinforcement systems.
