Vision has announced version two of its TC-HDMIIP, enabling an HDMI signal to be transmitted over a standard LAN network via TCIP/IP packet conversion.
Version two is based on a new HiSilicon chipset, using H.265 compression and reducing the bandwidth requirement on the network to avoid network flooding.
The TC-HDMIIP/V2 works with an unmanaged switch when all nodes are on the same subnet, with additional transmitters and receivers sold separately to scale up a system as required.
A transmitter can be connected directly to a receiver, bypassing the network completely. The TC-HDMIIP/V2 also supports multi-casting, with only one transmitter needed per network.
