ViewSonic has introduced the PLED-W600 and PLED-W800, two compact LED-based projectors for mobile presentations.
The projectors are come with an integrated MHL-enabled HDMI input for optional wireless capabilities, making them suitable for work, travel and entertainment on-the-go.
The PLED-W600 weighs 798g and has a brightness of up to 600 lumens; the PLED-W800 weighs 898g and has a brightness of up to 800 lumens.
The two projectors use solid state Eco-LED technology with more than 20,000 hours of operation time.
The PLED-W600 and PLED-W800 feature WXGA resolution compatible with 1080p content, a contrast of 3500:1. Both projectors have 2x digital zoom and automatically adjust video source content to match 4:3, 16:9 or 16:10 for the perfect picture.
ViewSonic’s PLED-W800 comes with a built-in media player that can project Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents, as well as PDF files, photos and videos directly from a SD or USB flash drive. Connectivity options on the PLED-W800 include, USB, HDMI/MHL and VGA-In, and the optional WiFi dongle ensures wireless capability and compatibility with Miracast and DLNA.
The PLED-W600 supports a 120Hz frame rate and has a 1.4:1 throw ratio, allowing a 33in (diagonal) image from 3ft away with a maximum image size of 100in (diagonal).
Both projectors will be available from end of October 2014 for an estimated street price inc. VAT of €449 / £399 for the PLED-W600 and €549 / £499 for the PLED-W800.
