TV One has added five units to its Task product line, amid claims of superior HDMI transmission over longer distances. The company says it can now transmit HDMI up to 250m over Cat.5 and Cat.6.
The 1T-CT-611 Transmitter and the 1T-CT-612 Receiver provide zero loss transmission of HDMI v1.3a signals at resolutions up to 1080p over Cat.6 cables. It is an all digital system so the transmission distance varies with the resolution, though 1080i HDTV signals can achieve distances up to 75 metres (220 feet) between the transmitter and the receiver. Signal boost and equalisation adjustments are also provided on each unit via dipswitches.
The 1T-CT-621 Transmitter and the 1T-CT-624 and 1T-CT-628 Receivers provide transmission of HDMI v1.2 signals at resolutions up to 1080p over Cat.5/5E or Cat.6 cable. Using the 1T-CT-621 Transmitter with the 1T-CT-624 Receiver will achieve distances of up to 150 metres (450 feet), while the use of the 1T-CT-628 Receiver can achieve distances of up to 250 metres (750 feet). The receivers also provide gain and equalisation adjustments of the incoming signals.
All five new units can transmit and receive digital audio embedded within the HDMI signal and are fully HDCP compliant and DVI-D compatible. DVI-D signals up to 1920x1200 can be accommodated and also transmitted over greater distances using these ultra compact units. The unique TV One-Task locking power connectors are used on the entire range to enhance overall system security.
