Sommer Cable has announced an HDMI-over-fibre system from German manufacturer Cardinal-DVM.
It transmits signals with a maximum resolution of 4K x 2K – including RS232 and infrared data – can over distances of up to 300 metres via an OM3 multimode line.
The robust and compact housing is available as either a stand-alone housing with the dimensions of 68 x 36 x 145 mm or as an installation housing to fit into the modular Sysboxx frame or the 19in Syspanel 5XL panel for audio distribution.
