Riedel launches Covid-19 distance monitoring device

Riedel has launched its DisTag distance monitoring device, able to be worn around the neck or carried in a pocket for Covid-19 social distancing purposes.

DisTag alerts users via haptic, visual and acoustic signals when a mandatory distance to other people with a DisTag device when that distance is about to be breached.

The DisTag features three signal levels: a two-stage vibration alarm (haptic), a two-stage LED signal (visual) and a two-stage sound signal (acoustic), with the proximity limits of the warning signals able to be individual defined and adjusted to coincide with national or local regulations for social distance.

The device can be used both indoors or outdoors, with an integrated battery providing power for up to 12 hours, without additional infrastructure to allow for expansion of the DisTag system with additional devices.
