RCF will launch the DXT 900, a networkable PA/VA with a pro audio spec, at ISE 2013 in Amsterdam, on stand 7H230.
The scalable, distributed system provides every component, including loudspeakers, with its own physical address. Components can be monitored according to EN 54 standards and configured after installation.
RCF says the unit can be used for paging, voice-evacutation and as an interface to pro-audio active speakers through the company’s RD-NET control and monitoring system.
Active loudspeakers can be combined together with 70V/100V line amplifiers on the same dedicated network, and all system amplification is Class D+.
It has a double-ring topology. The first, simple ring is designed for small and medium-sized systems, while the second ring is for larger projects.
Whatever the size of the system, all components are designed to be plug-and-play and setup is configurable.
All digital amplifiers and active components are connected using RCF’s Flexicomm bus technology.
The majority of connections use twin-pair or four-pair J-Type fire-rated cable, while fibre-optics can also be used for longer distances, where the DXT 9000 can run over LAN or TCP/IP networks.
In the event of a failure in the input stage of the digital network, a ‘Fall Back’ feature automatically allows the DXT 9000 to receive a signal from a dedicated fire base-station microphone.
