Pioneer has announced three additions to its line of network AV receivers – including its first 11 channel amplifier, the SC-LX901.
The SC-LX701 is accompanied by two 9.1 channel models featuring Direct Energy HD amplifiers, the SC-LX801 and SC-LX901. The amplifier has been redesigned to reduce the potential noise level through a redesigned circuit layout, resulting in the shortest signal path.
All three models offer multi-room audio (realised by FireConnect technology) for the wireless distribution of a variety of sound sources, and offer compatibility with streaming services such as Tidal, Spotify and Deezer, as well as Google Cast. They also incorporate the ESS SABRE32 Ultra DAC to reduce distortion and achieve detailed sound.
Each receiver has the ability to adjust specifically to local environment to provide object-based audio via MCACC Pro.The automatic acoustic calibration system works with Pioneer’s ‘Reflex Optimiser’ feature to deliver the ideal audio reproduction when using up-firing speakers in a Dolby Atmos speaker array. Direct Energy HD amplifiers furthermore allow simultaneous output from all channels with no power loss.
The receivers feature an enhanced GUI for quick access to network settings and simplified product set up.
Full Multi-room support will be added to the receivers via firmware update currently scheduled for autumn 2016.
