Optocore has developed a transceiver unit for its DD2FR-FX optical MADI device, which accepts both multi-mode and single-mode fibre signals.

This enables the device to connect to both multi- and single-mode fibre MADI link partner units with the same 50µm or 62.5µm multi-mode cable, representing a potential cost saving for customers.

This functionality will now be included as a standard feature in every DD2FR-FX device.
