Omron Electronic Components Europe is targeting digital signage applications with Aerial Imaging technology that creates floating images.

The product, based on Omron’s Spatial Projection Display (SPD) technology,  is tipped for use in shopping malls and transport terminals.

The product uses one sheet of plate, which is transparent, and a single LED and can be attached to glass and other surfaces. Omron plans to launch curved plexiglass panels in the future.
