Noise curves tool added to Acoustilyzer

NTI has added support for its Noise Curve Application tool to the Acoustilyzer AL1. It acquires and stores the un-weighted octave data from the device and plots this against all international Noise Curve standards. It will be available free to all registered AL1 users in the autumn.

Noise control and evaluation is an international regulatory issue for both indoor and outdoor environments. Noise Curve reference systems exist in several forms around the world. Their purpose was to assist in objectively comparing noise with respect to frequency, usually based upon octave measurements of the room or environment. In contrast with some other acoustical measuring instruments the NC Application tool is able to translate measured octave level data into all of the curves.
