Modulo Pi is to present its media server technology at ISE 2025, the event will also mark the debut of Modulo Pi’s 3D multi-projector auto-calibration system.
Modulo Pi will showcase an interactive LED experience featuring two walls and a floor, made fully interactive using the new Modulo Kinetic Version 6, and the integration of 2D and 3D LiDARs.
Modulo Kinetic’s internal library of effects and node-based compositing tool now enriched with new features, enable an even wider range of movement- and gesture-based interactions, all without the need for coding. Through different demos, the interactive LED setup will transport attendees into various immersive worlds. Visitors will interact in real time by touching walls or walking across the LED floor, triggering media content such as videos, images, sounds, and more, while generating their own experiences.
Modulo Kinetic’s embedded 3D engine has been upgraded, delivering performance boosts for real-time productions. Photorealistic rendering has also seen great enhancements, thanks to extensive work on lighting and textures.
Following the success of its 2D auto-calibration option for planar, curved and dome surfaces, Modulo Pi is excited to introduce its 3D auto-calibration module for the first time. Fully developed by Modulo Pi, this module automatically manages multi-projector soft edge blending and geometry on any surface, paving the way for automatic projector alignment for video mapping on buildings or in immersive venues.
The system relies on Power over Ethernet (PoE) cameras, providing fast and simplified cabling for more efficient setups. Through the projection of patterns, the position and orientation of the projectors are detected in relation to the projection surface. The software then processes the data to determine the required adjustments and deliver a pixel-perfect projection.
