Mitsubishi projector launch

Mitsubishi Electric has unveiled two installation projectors, claiming brightness levels up to 5000 ANSI lumens and 6000 ANSI lumens. The 1024 x 768 pixel resolution XL6500 and XL6600U models are capable of up to 1080i and 720p.

Both are available with a standard lens or a non-lens chassis ready to be fitted with one of four optional lenses.

The projectors use three robust 1.2inch 3-LCD inorganic panels and claim a 4000 hour lamp life.

Both models incorporate electronically controlled zoom, focus and lens shift, designed to enable quick and easy adjustment of the projectors to fit an array of screen types and sizes. A side-by-side function, for enhanced video conferencing applications, includes a live video feed and allows simultaneous presentations on the same screen.

An RJ45 networking support feature is included for online management and control of the projector. In addition both models have a built-in motion sensitive anti theft alarm, claimed to help deter theft from easily accessible areas such as classrooms. The alarm is set manually with a key, once installed the key is removed and if the projector is moved a 120 decibel alarm will sound.
