At InfoComm 2016, Planar and Leyard unveiled its low-power TWA series of fine pitch LED video walls.
The range is currently available in a 1.2mm model, with a 1.8mm pixel pitch expected later this year. Suited for control room and digital signage applications, the 54-in flat panel design also “uses on average 35 percent less power than conventional LED video wall displays.”
“The Leyard TWA Series was designed to be a drop-in replacement to legacy LCD and rear projection video walls,” said Steve Seminario, vice president of product marketing at Planar and Leyard International.
Planar and Leyard additionally unveiled two additions to its Clarity Matrix LCD video wall system line-up. The Clarity Matrix MX55HDX LCD display features a narrow tiled bezel width of 1.6mm and 800 nits or brightness for LCD video wall installations. The 55-in model now also offers a 10% power consumption reduction over previous models.
The Clarity Matrix LX46HDU-3D has also been added to the line, a LCD video wall system designed for clients seeking a large format stereoscopic display for 3D visualisation applications.
Planar has also announced enhancements to its EasyAxis mounting system so it is easier to achieve the smallest gap between individual LCD video wall displays.
