K-array introduces KX12 coaxial speaker

K-array has unveiled its KX12 coaxial speaker that it describes as a radical interpretation of a traditional coaxial 12-in speaker.

The speaker is designed to combat the weakness of traditional coaxial devices which results in a reduction of high frequency dispersion when frequency increases. While most coaxial speakers are constricted by their wedge shape to be linked to other units at the same fixed angle, the KX12 has the flexibility to be adjusted to any desired incline as a single array element.

?It maintains a balanced dispersion pattern at all frequencies on the axis through a horn with an adjustable orientation. Consistent frequency and SPL at any point in the coverage area can be expected from the fixed dispersion, 100° by 30° horn.
