Framery pairs projection with audio isolation for VC pods that deliver in-person experience

Framery, best known for creating soundproof pods, has unveiled Framery Contact, a videocall pod that uses projection to create life-sized images of meeting participants.

Projections are captured, unaltered and transmitted at high quality, while strategically placed mirrors within the pod capture and display direct eye contact.

Sound is captured with a cardioid microphone and played out of an active audio monitor. LED lights illuminate the user and deliver a comfortable experience. Framery claims the visual and acoustic isolation provided by the pod also helps promote spatial presence and connectedness.

Framery Contact is currently in pilot phase with Framery waiting to determine broader commercial availability when the pilot completes. Demo pods can be found in Framery’s showroom in Chicago, and at the Framery headquarters in Tampere, Finland.
