Eyevis estreaming solution caries DVI signals over IP

The eyevis eStreaming system provides a method of transporting DVI signals in real-time across networks with very low latency.

The system is based on an encoder / decoder pair, which transmits the signal via a custom eyevis eJPEG compression format using very little bandwidth.

The eStreamer boxes themselves include both a decoding and encoding unit allowing them to function bidirectionally. It can handle inputs up to 1920x1200 and interlaced signals are also supported.

There’s also a loop-through DVI output to connect a local monitor at the encoding end of the chain. The company also states that the devices will in future support the AVB standard.
