MRG Systems released a digital to analogue converter as the forthcoming digital switchover threatens to cause difficulties for organisations employing multiple TV screens. The DVP100 will reconvert the digital signal back to analogue.
The product requires no additional cabling and MRG has developed 36 variants. These range from an eight decoder version, with a touchscreen user interface and TV monitor screen, down to the basic unit with a single decoder and set-up menus accessed via a laptop.
Three of the DVP100’s eight digital decoders can switch between video input and decoder. Two additional video inputs have been incorporated to expand broadcast service availability and its control. Ten analogue channels are generated on a single UHF output. Finally, the DVP100 doesn’t pass the incoming aerial feed to the output so the decoded signal can be safely put back on the same analogue channel.
