d&b audiotechnik to launch SL-Series subwoofer at NAMM 2020

d&b audiotechnik will launch its KSL-SUB and KSL-GSUB Winter NAMM 2020, available in both flown and ground stack versions.

The KSL-SUB can extend the frequency response of a KSL system down to 36HZ, operating with two forward-facing 15-in drivers and a single rear-facing 15-in driver which can be driven with two-way active amplification to provide cardioid directivity control.

The subwoofer measures 100x90x45cm in size and delivers an output of 139dB driven by d&b D80 amplifiers.

The KSL-GSUB stands at a height of 45cm, eliminating the standard rigging hardware featured on the KLS-SUB. A new KSL-SUB adapter frame allows the subwoofer to be deployed above KSL-Tops as part of a flown array.

Touring carts with protective covers are also available with the KSL-SUB. The ‘hybrid’ KSL-SUB touring cart allows users to leave the KSL flying frame on top of the KSL-SUB adapter frame below the subwoofers for transportation.

Additional integration-specific KSL cabinet design options and a new d&b installation amplifier are set to be announced at ISE 2020 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Winter NAMM 2020 will run from 16-19 January 2020 at the Anaheim Convention Centre, Anaheim, California, USA.
