D.A.S. Audio has released a new amplifier, aimed at the high power market, incorporating a rugged two unit all-steel chassis. The PS-2400, part of the PowerPro series, is a 1200 + 1200 W @ 4Ω stereo amplifier.
Low-noise fans are designed for quiet and cool operation, while the high-energy toroidal transformer provides a power supply claimed to be capable of handling substantial transient demands.
The amplifier incorporates rear located switches which permit ground lift, operational mode selection (bridge, stereo or parallel) and input sensitivity selection. Protections include short-circuit protection on each channel, overload and thermal protection. This model uses XLR and ¼ TSR input and output Speakon NL-4 connectors and binding posts.
