Crestron will ship the DigitalMedia NVX Series that transmits 4K60 4:4:4 HDR video over 1 Gigabit Ethernet from early May.
It uses 802.1X authentication, Active Directory credential management and Secure CIP protocol. The scalable, software-defined matrix shares content over a dedicated 1Gb copper or fibre network.
Crestron has used patent pending technology to simultaneously encode/decode and scale in a move it says removes latency in transmission.
Software residing in the DM NVX Series Encoder/Decoder boxes and cards allows configuration, deployment and management of entire systems from the web.
DM NVX Series comprises DM NVX Encoder/Decoder Boxes (DM-NVX-350, DM-NVX-351), DM NVX Encoder/Decoder Cards (DM-NVX-350C, DM-NVX-351C) and the DM NVX Card Chassis
(DMF-CI8). DM NVX Encoders/Decoders feature built-in USB 2.0 routing, DSP and breakaway audio, HDCP 2.2 support, auto-switching, all-in-one encoding/decoding, and support Ethernet natively, as well as fibre with optional SPF modules.
