Christie has launched its Vive Audio LS series 4-way screen channel and 2-way surround loudspeakers at this week’s CinemaCon 2016.
Suited to cinema environments, LS Series screen channels feature planar ribbon driver technology - with low distortion and transient response – in a single-enclosure design suited to most 5.1 and 7.1 distributed sound applications.
The range also offers timbre matching between screen and surround channels.
“The Vive Audio LS Series is ideal for distributed audio applications in small to mid-sized auditoriums,” commented Chris Connett, business development manager for audio solutions at Christie.
The series currently has six models, comprising of the LS1 and LS2 screen channel loudspeakers, as well as the LS1S, LS2S, LS4S and LS5S surround channel loudspeakers. Rotatable waveguides support deployment in low profile environments, or for use as corner surrounds in 5.1 applications.
