Cambridge Sound Management has launched its speech protection system, Qt Patient Privacy System.
The system incorporates direct-field sound masking technology to ensure patient and staff privacy in office reception areas, exam rooms and pharmacies.
It consists of a control module, two lighted privacy signs and several direct-field sound masking emitters. Turning on a module prompts emitters installers in the ceiling to add a low level of background sound into the space to make human speech less intelligible. Privacy signs also illuminate to assure patients that their conversations are protected.
“Our simplified speech protection system helps medical staff and facility managers meet HIPAA privacy rules while improving the patient experience,” commented Christopher Calisi, CEO of Cambridge Sound Management.
The Qt Patient Privacy System is now shipping.
