Broadcast Pix has expanded the robotic camera control in its integrated production switchers to support JVC’s KY-PZ100 PTZ network video production cameras through serial and IP connections.
Each system can control pan, tilt, zoom, focus, iris, gain, and preset recall for up to 12 cameras. JVC cameras can be controlled using the joystick on Broadcast Pix control panels. PixButtons, Broadcast Pix’s patented control buttons with LED displays, provides access to up to 100 preset positions, and can set the speed and range of PTZ camera movements. The cameras can also be controlled via touchscreen using BPview, Broadcast Pix’s customisable multi-view, and the Broadcast Pix Commander browser-based interface on a computer or mobile device. PoE (Power over Ethernet) powers the KY-PZ100 and delivers IP video and control to Flint, Roadie, or BPswitch systems.
JVC PTZ camera control will be available on all current Broadcast Pix models and the BPswitch family of integrated production switchers as part of a system software release, which will be released in late 2017.
Broadcast Pix will demonstrate its robotic camera control at IBC 2017 on stand 7.A15. IBC is held September 15 to 19 at the RAI Amsterdam.
